OSCAR'S TRAVELS...

... is a children's educational TV series we are currently developing. It's about a French Bulldog named OSCAR who, whether he likes it or not, TRAVELS around the world with his best friend and owner Nathalie, a fashion photographer.

Nathalie's photo assignments take her to some of the most beautiful and interesting places on the planet. At each new destination, she tries to enlighten Oscar with all there is to know about the history, art, geography, architecture or statistics of their new surroundings.

Despite preferring to stay at home, Oscar tolerates Nathalie's intellectual guided tours, and he does his best to maintain interest. However, the native children, the games they play, traditional sweets and the quirks of local day-to-day life never fail to distract him. These are things that our young audience can relate to and will remember... leaving them with a positive impression of the world they live in.

In this way, Oscar gives us his own sort of guided tour of the world we live in.

Selected from some fifty applicants from all over the world (Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Germany, Mexico, the Netherlands, Russia, United Kingdom...), Oscar's Travels was one of five projects chosen to be presented at the World Education Market as part of the AITED Pitch.

The AITED (International Association of Education and Discovery Channels) which was created in 1996 under the initiative of French broadcaster, La Cinquième. The Association ensures the flow of information, coproduction projects and programs amongst its fifty member channels and encourages training within the fast-evolving new television industry, stimulating thereby the growth of the worldwide educational market.
